Torturous Inception -The Parable of Scorched Earth (Torture Music Records)
From USA, The Yankees Torturous Inception lay us their first album called ''The Parable of Scorched Earth''. This release can be placed in the Death Metal and you can discern the subtle nuances of Brutal Death Fucking Metal, NY Style Death Metal, Modern Death Metal and some fucking riffs a little more Slamming! Its incomprehensible to my opinion how the Metal sites could classify this band in the Brutal Death Fucking Metal coz the brutality is enough rare in this damn shit! The album contains 10 fucking songs lasts about 38 minutes and is comprised of Devon De Carlo and Dustin Primeau on guitars, Tom Maroney on bass, Mark Poznak on drum and finally the vocalist Tyler Lauer. The mixing of the record is well managed and the sound is correct except the drums that sounds really damn pathetic especially the snare that is really fucking bad and the other instruments are ok but lack a bit of powershit in that! Unfortunately, the negative is that the album is very annoying for me to listen to from one end to the other except for maybe one or two fucking songs that I enjoyed! The modern side of the album is not really good but some parts more NY style are appreciated even if for me, almost no riffs in this album is to stick to your fucking skin! The brutality miss in this disc but some parts are still fucking excellent and makes this album listenable and not completely fucking boring! Give a listen only to those who love all styles of Death Metal including the modern shit! 5.5/10
